Science offers new insight into women with large breasts

New scientific research offers a striking insight into women with large breasts. We'd suggest waiting a bit longer before enlarging.

A study once made the news that supposedly proved that men who stare at breasts live longer. This is a hoax that resurfaces every few years. But this new study is scientific, and it offers a rather surprising insight.

Women 'dissatisfied' with large breasts

In Western beauty ideals, large breasts are associated with sexy and attractive. But research shows that women with breasts are not at all satisfied with their bust size. On the contrary, many respondents linked a large bust to dissatisfaction.

Breasts come in all shapes and sizes. But large busts still attract attention. It's no wonder women consider having a plastic surgeon address cup size. Although there is some debate about Silicone implants have certainly been doing quite a bit lately.

Scientific research

It research A study on the (dis)satisfaction of large breasts was conducted by the University of Wollongong. Scientist Isobel Oon and her team examined 345 women between the ages of 18 and 83. In addition to age, height, and BMI, breast size was also measured. Respondents also answered questions about satisfaction with their breasts and their willingness to engage in physical activity.

Breast satisfaction was measured on a scale of 1 to 4. Various questions were asked. How comfortable are bras? What do you think of the shape? What do you think of the size? Does the size suit your body? And do your breasts look good in clothing?

More dissatisfaction

The study found that larger breasts are associated with greater dissatisfaction. Incidentally, BMI and age didn't seem to play a significant role in satisfaction. This last finding surprised the researchers, as breasts change with age or weight gain. Greater satisfaction with one's bust appeared to correlate with an increased quality of life. Breast satisfaction also appeared to be linked to more physical activity, or exercise. Women who were dissatisfied with their breast size were also less willing to engage in physical activity.

Just because you're not happy with your big breasts doesn't mean your grandparents aren't. This isn't some crazy invention of ours, but a a fact from the life of actress Sydney Sweeney.
